Reservation Info

$200 Deposit required with reservation; balance due at least one month prior to your stay. You will be provided with two keys at least two days prior to check-in. Keys must be returned within 5 days of check-out. There will be a $20 charge for lost keys. Please Email for instructions on how to get keys!

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as you become aware that you will be unable to attend so that we can attempt to re-rent the cottage; however, if we are unable to find a tenant, you will forfeit your deposit. We ask to be notified if you have tocancel no later than one month prior to your arrival. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to your reservation.

Check-in

Check in is at 4:00 pm. Please report any damage or problems as soon as you arrive. 540/207-5499.

Check-out

The cottage must be vacated by 10:00 am on check-out day. Guests are responsible for leaving the cottage in broom-cleaned condition meaning any trash picked up and taken out, fridge emptied, counters wiped, dishes put away and any messes cleaned up. There will be a checklist on the refrigerator of things to do before checking out. It's reasonable. The cottage will be inspected after your departure and any extra cleaning costs or damages will be billed to the guest. If there are cigarette butts in the yard or on the driveway, our lawn maintenance will report to us and the clean-up costs will be back-charged to you. Not only are butts nasty and ugly but they really cause problems with the grass that can be expensive to remedy. Please, just use ashtrays. We trust that everyone will take care of the property so that we don't have to start taking a damage deposit. Please, just report any accidents to us so that we can remedy any problems before another guest arrives.

Family Groups Welcome

The cottage is for family groups only. No sororities, fraternities, or unchaperoned groups will be allowed. Should a group misrepresent themselves, they will be required to vacate the premises immediately, without refund. House parties by any group will not be permitted and will be grounds for immediate eviction.

Cable TV

Basic cable TV service is provided. You are responsible for any pay-per-view charges incurred during your stay.

DAMAGES

All breakage and cottage damage during you occupancy must be reported. Tenants are responsible for and are expected to assume liability for any damage to the cottage and it's contents, other than normal wear and tear. Again, we trust that everyone will take care of the property so that we don't have to start taking a damage deposit. Please, just report any accidents to us so that we can remedy any problems before another guest arrives. Also, DO NOT allow anyone to jump on the beds.

Emergency Evacuation

There are no refunds for mandatory evacuation. We strongly urge you to purchase travel insurance for security. Two that others have used are AIG http://www.aigcorporate.com/AIGTravel/index.html and Travelguard http://www.travelguard.com/ . This insurance covers you if you have to cancel for any reason. I think that it’s about $70.
